Up and Coming Dates:

Wednesday 10th September - Year 11 iGCSE Workshop
Wednesday 17th September - Meet the Vice Principal
We are emphasising expectations and professionalism-punctuality, preparation, and purposeful learning. As you step into the IGCSE journey, use short, regular review after lessons and discuss subject expectations and support with your teachers. Please continue to support new joiners in class.
The start of the (I)GCSEs is always an important one and it is vital that our learners focus on planning the year ahead. Most of the (I)GCSE programme is introduced in Year 10. By the time our learners start at KS4, all of the topics studied for (I)GCSE have already been introduced and learners have had the opportunity to practise grammar and are familiar with the necessity to vary vocabulary in their own production.
In Year 10, we start with the opportunity to revise all major tenses. Higher learners at that point might start practising their examination skills with increasing awareness of the nuances between the formal and informal writing techniques.
The (I)GCSE exam specification is divided into subject areas called themes. Our schemes of Learning are divided up in the same way. Each theme is divided into topics.
The exam is divided up according to the four language skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing. Each one of these has its own separate exam in the form of an end of course paper.
Over the coming weeks, our teachers will be working hard to instil in our learners critical thinking and linguistic awareness that are necessary for a successful year. Over the coming weeks, we will be updating you with weekly progress of the lessons in all languages.
We will be holding an in-person Meet the Tutor event for Years 7–11 on Wednesday 3rd September, from 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm. The meetings will take place in your child's form room. Learners will be dismissed at 12:00 pm on this day. This event provides a valuable opportunity to meet your child’s form tutor, in order to discuss how they have settled into the year, and consider targets and areas for development for the year ahead. We encourage parents and learners to attend in order to make the most of this opportunity.
Please note, provision will be available for any learner who is unable to be collected at 12:00 pm which will run until 14:45 pm.
You can book an Appointment with your child's tutor through SchoolCloud (the same system used for ECA sign-up). Your login details will be shared with you shortly within a separate email.
We look forward to welcoming you all.
We are pleased to inform you that our school will be launching a new canteen service in partnership with our external provider, Eastern Bakery, starting on Sunday 7th September 2025. This service will offer our learners convenient and nutritious food options throughout the school day.
Rollout Schedule
To ensure a smooth introduction, the service will be phased in as follows:
Week 1 (Starting 7th September): Secondary – Years 7, 10 and 11
Week 2: All Secondary Year groups
As we learn from our experience with secondary, learners', we will begin to plan how our canteen service can be accessed by our younger learners. Further communication will follow.
Operating Hours
Canteen opening hours: 8:00am – 2:00pm
Hot meals: Served during the main lunch break
Please see the email sent to all parents for further information
We kindly remind all parents that learners must attend school each day in their formal Nadeen uniform. On PE days, learners should bring their full PE kit with them and change into it before their lesson, and then back into their school uniform afterwards.
This approach helps maintain high standards of presentation throughout the school day, ensures consistency across the Secondary phase, and reinforces the importance of learners taking responsibility for their appearance and belongings.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Please note that Nadeen School will be closed next Thursday in observance of the public holiday for the Prophet’s Birthday.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
All learners should exit via the staircase leading directly to the Learner Entrance for pick-up. Bus riders may walk down the Secondary corridor and use the stairs by the Main Office. To reduce congestion in Primary corridors, especially during after-school club pick-ups, please avoid using Primary routes. This routine has been clearly communicated to learners and will continue to be reinforced. Thank you for your patience and support.
Dear Parents,
This year, our learners will have many opportunities to showcase their musical talents in front of a live audience. These will include:
Assembly performances
Morning drop-off sessions
Competitions and recitals
If your child plays a musical instrument, please take a moment to complete THIS FORM. This will help Mr. Chris and Mr. Tom get in touch with you about the exciting musical events planned for the year ahead.
We’re excited to launch The Science Spark-a monthly newspaper celebrating the fascinating world of Science at Nadeen School. Each issue will showcase brilliant experiments from our labs, the creativity and curiosity of our learners, and their High Performance Learning (HPL) skills in action. Keep an eye out for the first edition!
