Up and Coming Dates:
Tuesday, 30th of September - Meet the Principal
Thursday, 2nd of October - Learner Appreciation Day
Saturday, 4th October - Admissions Open Morning
Our outdoor learning gives us lots of hands on experiences especially through sand play. Scooping and filling buckets helps our learners develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and explore creativity and problem solving in a natural, open ended environment.
We had lots of sensory fun this week in particular with shaving foam. We explored texture and movement by squishing, spreading and swirling the foam. This helps to develop our fine motor skills and supports early mark-making.
Construction play with pipes has been one of our favourite activities this week. We have explored different ways of connecting different shaped pipes together, exercising our problem solving skills and developing our teamwork skills.
We explored different basic shapes this week. We used different shaped sponges to explore the differences between different circles and squares. We stamped, sorted and compared shapes and colours.
