Up and Coming Dates:
Friday, 21th November - External Event Bahrain Marathon Relay
Friday, 28th November - Festive Fair
Our learners have been exploring the phonemes /sh/, /th/, /ng/ and /nk/.
They have been reading full sentences and discussing capital letters, finger spaces and full stops while using previously taught GCPs.
This week in Maths, we explored four-sided shapes and applied our problem-solving skills. We examined their properties using key vocabulary, created a variety of four-sided shapes, and used our shape knowledge to construct different structures for a range of purposes.
This week, our learners explored the artwork of Claude Monet.
After learning about his life, they examined still-life objects, vases of flowers and a basket of fruit, carefully observing each item from different angles.
Their close looking inspired some lovely Monet-style artwork and wonderful creative conversations.
This week our learners have been investigating the Life-cycle of a plant. We have been exploring what seeds need to flourish by planting sunflowers beans and cress, and the fascinating way roots and stems work to bring water up to give the flower energy to grow, through our colour changing experiment.
Box of Goodness - Donate by 20th December
Drop off your donations and help us support underprivileged children. Every contribution counts - be a part of this meaningful cause!
We have begun our guided reading sessions this week! On Thursday, your child will bring home their reading folder, which includes the book they have read three times during the week with their teacher. Please support your child by reading with them at home at least three times per week and writing a short comment in their yellow reading record. This could include how well they did and if there were any words or sounds they needed help with. Folders must be returned every Wednesday so we can prepare and send home a new book the following day. Please note: if a book is lost or returned damaged, there will be a charge to replace it.
Thank you for your continued support, we’re excited to begin this reading journey together!

Nadeen School Annual Festive Fair
We are delighted to let you know that we are hosting this event again on Friday November 28th from 11am-4pm at Dilmunia, the home of our brand new, state-of-the-art campus.
On this day children, parents, staff and friends will come to our fair for a fun family day. We have games and prizes for the children, independent vendors offering various products for sale, food stalls, and a raffle. Last year we had over 2000 visitors to our Fair and it was an incredibly well-attended, well-enjoyed event; we are expecting even more visitors this year!
One of our largest fundraisers during the year is our Festive Fair Raffle. If you or your company could donate a raffle prize, such as a voucher, gift, gift certificate or hamper, it would be greatly appreciated by Nadeen School children, parents and staff. Should you be interested in sponsoring our event, please let us know by emailing v.trindade@nadeenschool.com and ks1-parentboard@nadeenschool.com
We are pleased to inform you that a dedicated email address has now been created for reporting learner absences. Please use attendance@nadeenschool.com to notify the school if your child will be absent on the day. All of the absence correspondence should as always go through the form tutor. This will help us ensure accurate attendance records and streamline communication. Thank you for your cooperation.
We will begin phasing the purchasing of food from the canteen into Primary from Wednesday, 14th October, starting with Year 6 learners. To support the smooth operation of this process, learner cards will be kept in school and given to students at lunchtime to make purchases.
Please note: learners can only purchase food if they have a card.
If you would like your child to buy lunch from the canteen, you will need to purchase a learner card. Instructions for how to purchase the card can be found spare APP.
Please ensure there is sufficient money loaded onto the card to allow your child to buy food. You can use the SPARE app to top up the card, view what your child has eaten, and purchase meals in advance.
We are aiming to introduce this system to Year 4 and Year 5 learners after the half-term break. We need this time to carefully organise the process so that we can maximise efficiency and ensure a smooth experience for all learners.
We thank you for your patience and understanding during this introductory phase.
