Dear Parents,
As part of our regular health and safety procedures and our ongoing commitment to maintaining accurate records, we will be sending a test SMS to all parents this Monday, 19th January.
This is a routine check to ensure our contact information is up to date and that we can reach all families promptly in the event of an emergency or important communication.
No action is required unless you do not receive the SMS. If that is the case, please contact us at Admissions@nadeenschool.com to update your details.
NOTE: SMSs will be sent to local numbers only; if you do not have one, please arrange to obtain a local number as we require 2 local contact numbers for each learner and a local emergency number different from the parents' numbers (This will be used in case of emergency only -not included in SMSs)
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
This week, our Year 11 learners completed a full programme of mock iGCSE examinations, an important stage in their preparation for the final external assessments.
The mocks provided learners with a valuable opportunity to experience exam conditions, apply their learning, and identify areas for further development.
We are extremely proud of the effort, focus, and resilience demonstrated throughout the week. The commitment shown by our learners reflects their determination to succeed, and the school community remains fully behind them as they continue their exam preparation journey.
Their hard work and dedication are consistently recognised and appreciated.
We were delighted to welcome almost 90% of our Year 9 learners and their families to the recent Learner Conferences and iGCSE Options Evening. The high level of attendance reflected the importance placed on making informed decisions for the next stage of learning.
The event provided a valuable opportunity for families and learners to learn more about each iGCSE course, engage with subject specialists, and ask crucial questions before beginning to finalise their option choices.
We thank all who attended for their time, thoughtful engagement, and continued partnership in supporting our learners’ future pathways.

Our Year 9 learners recently took part in an exciting iGCSE Taster Day, designed to help them explore the wide range of courses available to them as they begin planning their next steps in school.
Throughout the day, learners rotated around different subjects in smaller focus groups, giving them the opportunity to engage more personally with teachers, ask questions, and gain deeper insight into each course. From the sciences and humanities to creative and practical subjects, the day offered a valuable chance to discover what makes every iGCSE subject unique – including content, skills developed, and future opportunities linked to each pathway.
The sessions were interactive, informative, and gave learners the confidence to begin shaping their options with clarity and enthusiasm. We are proud of the maturity and curiosity they demonstrated, and we hope this experience supports meaningful conversations at home as they move toward selecting the courses that best suit their strengths and ambitions.
A big thank you to our teaching teams for delivering inspiring taster sessions, and well done to our Year 9 learners for embracing the day with such positive energy and responsibility.
The future starts with informed choices – and Year 9 are officially on the journey.

We are aware that some parents have been having challenges in buying a new Nadeen polo shirt. Unfortunately the school's uniform suppliers are currently out of stock of the Nadeen Polo shirts. We are looking at ways to resolve this issue. In the meantime, white Nadeen shirts are available to purchase as an approved alternative item of the Nadeen school uniform. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
We are pleased to inform you that a dedicated email address has now been created for reporting learner absences. Please use attendance@nadeenschool.com to notify the school if your child will be absent on the day. All of the absence correspondence should as always go through the form tutor. This will help us ensure accurate attendance records and streamline communication. Thank you for your cooperation.

This week: Learners explored the topic of school tools. They not only identified the names of various tools used in the classroom but also practiced using them in complete sentences. Activities focused on enhancing their reading and writing skills, as well as encouraging accurate pronunciation, sentence structure, and vocabulary usage in context. Learners were also engaged in interactive exercises to reinforce their understanding of each tool’s purpose and function within the school environment.
Next week: Learners will focus on classroom instructions and essential key words and phrases commonly used in Arabic classrooms, such as: "open the book," "sit quietly," "listen carefully," "raise your hand before speaking," "read the text carefully," and "write your answer clearly." Through this lesson, learners will develop a stronger understanding of classroom expectations, improve their ability to follow instructions independently, and enhance their focus and active participation. The lesson will also include practice in both comprehension and practical application, preparing learners to communicate effectively and confidently in classroom situations.
