This week in English, learners explored When We Walked on the Moon by David Long, analysing the text to identify key structural and language features such as parentheses and expanded noun phrases. They then put their knowledge into practice by creating their own imaginative sentences about landing on the Moon, making sure to include a fronted adverbial.
This week in maths, learners continuing their work on place value, focusing on recognising and understanding the digit value of numbers all the way up to 1,000,000. We also practised calculating 10, 100 and 1,000 more or less than a given number using their understanding of the place value of digits.
This week in science, learners analysed the relative sizes of the planets in our solar system, comparing just how big or small each one really is. To bring their discoveries to life, they then used clay to build their own scale models of the solar system. This activity helped learners visualise the size of each planet in our solar system in a 3D model.
This week during our Enquiry learning lessons We launched our new unit with the big question: How do we express ourselves through art? To explore this, learners rotated through a variety of stations painting, drawing, music, mindfulness and drama each offering a different way to communicate ideas and emotions. Learners were encouraged to notice how each activity made them feel and to reflect on the experience of trying something new.

This will help us ensure accurate attendance records and streamline communication. Thank you for your cooperation.

Primary learners in Year 4 and Year 6 will be able to start using the canteen after the half term.
All canteen cards that have been ordered for Primary learners will be held securely by the school all the time.

Dear Parents,
As part of our regular health and safety procedures and our ongoing commitment to maintaining accurate records, we will be sending a test SMS to all parents this Sunday at 10:00 AM.
This is a routine check to ensure our contact information is up to date and that we can reach all families promptly in the event of an emergency or important communication.
No action is required unless you do not receive the SMS. If that is the case, please contact us at Admissions@nadeenschool.com to update your details.
NOTE: SMSs will be sent to local numbers only; if you do not have one, please arrange to obtain a local number as we require 2 local contact numbers for each learner and a local emergency number different from the parents' numbers (This will be used in case of emergency only -not included in SMSs)
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
