This week, learners have begun drafting their final information report on polar bears. Using the detailed plans they created, along with the grammar features they have been building throughout the unit—such as technical vocabulary, fronted adverbials, alternative nouns and precise sentence structures—they are now bringing their writing to life. It has been exciting to see them apply their research and writer’s knowledge with growing confidence as they work toward a polished, factual report.
Spellings
This week we are looking at prefixes 'ir' and 'iml Please help the learners practise these at home.

This week in maths, we have been delving deeper into our exploration of area. Our learners have been making shapes of different areas. They have also been comparing the areas of different shapes and they are developing a stronger understanding of spatial relationships and measurement concepts.
This week in PSHE, Year 4 have been learning about communicating with people from different places. The learners wrote letters to pupils in the UK, describing what life in Bahrain is like. They shared their interests, explained what our school is like, and talked about what it’s like to live in a warm and exciting country.
The class enjoyed thinking about similarities and differences between their daily lives and those of children in the UK. They are looking forward to hearing back from their new pen pals soon!
Enquiry Learning
This week, the learners continued exploring how early humans expressed themselves through jewellery. They worked on designing their Stone Age necklaces and added more detail to their clay bead ideas. We revisited how natural materials were used to create personal items in the past. The learners showed great creativity and enthusiasm during the activity. We will keep developing the necklaces next week.

Lovely work from Year 4 this week as they created posters to show which subjects they like and those they don't using 'j'aime' and 'je n'aime pas'.
It's great to see them becoming more independent in both their speaking and their writing as their confidence grows.

Christmas with a Pawfect Purpose.
In the spirit of Nadeen’s core values of love, care, and community, we are excited to introduce “Christmas with a Pawfect Purpose.” This special initiative gives our community an opportunity to spread kindness during the festive season by supporting our animal friends in need.
In collaboration with Bahrain Rescues we will be setting up a Christmas tree in the learner entrance decorated with wish-list tags. Each tag will include an item or small contribution that families may choose to provide. Children are welcome to pick a tag from the tree and bring in the corresponding item.
Our Wishlist (all items valued at 5 BD or less):
A bag of cat litter
A bag of cat or dog food
A cosy winter blanket for the dogs
Cleaning supplies
Apples or carrots for Bahrain Rescues’ resident donkey, Dolly
Thank you for helping us make this festive season extra meaningful through small acts of compassion that make a big difference. Your support truly embodies the kindness at the heart of our school community.
Winter Shoebox Appeal
Nadeen School is once again supporting the Migrant Workers Protection Society (MWPS) Winter Shoebox Appeal. This annual initiative takes place in November, as we approach the winter season, and aims to collect essential items for vulnerable members of our community.
We invite your child to participate by helping to pack a decorated shoebox or backpack with much-needed items. The children will box these up at home and bring them into school.
Please see the attached flyer for general information. We are asking for donations of toiletries (such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and shampoo) and dry foods, including lentils, rice, dried milk powder, and spices.
We will be collecting donations from next week in the Learner entrance and our contributions will be handed over to the MWPS later on.
Every donation makes a difference, and your support for this important cause is deeply appreciated.
