This week in Maths, we consolidated our understanding of how to multiply a two-digit number by a one-digit number without exchanging, as well as how to divide a two-digit number by a one-digit number with no exchange. Students practiced these skills to build confidence and accuracy in their calculations.
This week in Science, the children explored different types of soil and took part in a hands-on investigation using peat soil. The learners carefully observed the soil, discussing what they could see and how it felt, helping them to develop their scientific observation and discussion skills.
This week in Enquiry Learning, learners began creating names, labels, and posters for our upcoming chocolate truffle sale. Working collaboratively, they shared ideas, explored creative design choices, and considered how colours, images, and slogans can attract customers. The class showed excellent teamwork and enthusiasm, taking pride in developing imaginative and thoughtful designs for their products.
We are delighted to share our Home Learning Choice Board for this half term. This is an optional activity board for your child to complete. There are nine practical and engaging activities to choose from, please select up to three.
You can share your child’s completed activities with your class teacher, they will provide brief feedback to your child in class time.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to speak to your class teacher or Year Leader.
