For our second week of our new English unit, we have been doing research and learning lots of new information about foxes that we can use in our information reports. We worked collaboratively to read, highlight and extract key facts from different fact files. Ask your child to tell you their favourite fox fact.

This week in Maths, we have continued to focus on multiplication and division, particularly the 4 and 8 times tables. The children have been consolidating their knowledge of written methods to solve calculations. Please continue to practise times tables with your child at home, as this will support their learning across many areas of mathematics.
This week in Science, Year 3 learners began their exciting new topic on fossils. They explored a range of real and replica fossils, carefully sorting and categorising them. To deepen their understanding, the children also recreated the fossilisation process, helping them see how fossils are formed over time. It was a hands-on and engaging start to our new topic!
This week, we launched our exciting new topic on chocolate and how it is made. We activated our prior knowledge by describing our favourite chocolates using rich adjectives and locating on maps where we think chocolate grows. We explored our key enquiry question, “Could chocolate grow in Bahrain?” and shared thoughtful ideas. We are very much looking forward to our chocolate tasting next week, featuring special chocolate from Ghana, kindly brought back by Ms Annalise during her winter break.
We are delighted to share our Home Learning Choice Board for this half term. This is an optional activity board for your child to complete. There are nine practical and engaging activities to choose from, please select up to three.
You can share your child’s completed activities with your class teacher, they will provide brief feedback to your child in class time.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to speak to your class teacher or Year Leader.
Well done to our Year 3 Wolves of the Week.

Dear Parents,
As part of our regular health and safety procedures and our ongoing commitment to maintaining accurate records, we will be sending a test SMS to all parents this Monday, 19th January.
This is a routine check to ensure our contact information is up to date and that we can reach all families promptly in the event of an emergency or important communication.
No action is required unless you do not receive the SMS. If that is the case, please contact us at Admissions@nadeenschool.com to update your details.
NOTE: SMSs will be sent to local numbers only; if you do not have one, please arrange to obtain a local number as we require 2 local contact numbers for each learner and a local emergency number different from the parents' numbers (This will be used in case of emergency only -not included in SMSs)
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.

Our first session of this new term was all about revisiting how to say the days of the week. We looked at spelling patterns and word endings.
One of our favourite games is bingo so we played days of the week bingo to practise our listening and reading skills.
