This week in English, we focused on the story structure and language features of our example text, "Storm Spotting." We examined phrases and their meanings, highlighting key vocabulary to enhance our understanding of the text.
Spellings
These are the spellings that we will be focusing on next week in class. Please help the learners practise these at home.

This week in Maths, our learners used their place value skills to represent, order and compare numbers to 10,000. They also used their reasoning skills to explain their choices, using appropriate, mathematical vocabulary. They finished the week with a treasure hunt, finding and identifying a variety of Roman numerals.
This week, learners explored the fascinating world of plants and animals. They learned how to recognise and represent different groups of plants, built on their knowledge of animal classifications, and were introduced to classification keys to help identify different species. The activities encouraged observation, sorting, and critical thinking as learners discovered how scientists organise living things.
Enquiry Learning
This week, we launched our new topic with the big question: “What happens when the ground shakes?” Learners began by sharing their prior knowledge and ideas about the different natural disasters that occur on our planet. They then had the chance to explore these concepts in a creative way, representing natural disasters through their own artwork. Using both their imagination and understanding, learners produced powerful posters that captured the drama and impact of events such as earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, storms, and volcanoes.

🌟 درس "الأصدقاء الأربعة ": تعرّف الطلاب على المفرد والمثنى والجمع، مع التركيز على دراسة الظواهر النحوية واللغوية.
المفرد: كلمة تدل على شخص أو شيء واحد مثل: (طالب، معلمٌ ، مهندسٌ ).
المثنى: كلمة تدل على شخصين أو شيئين مثل: (طالبان، كتابان ، مهندسان ، معلمان ).
الجمع / جمع المذكر : كلمة تدل على ثلاثة أشخاص أو أكثر أو أشياء متعددة مثل: (مهندسون ، نجارون ، نشيطون ، بارعون ).
كتاب التدريبات: حل الأنشطة لتعزيز مهارات الطالب في التعرف على المفرد والمثنى والجمع واستخدامها بشكل صحيح.
✨ ما سيتم دراسته الأسبوع القادم:
درس "الأصدقاء الأربعة 2" ( جمع المؤنث ) :
يتعرف الطالب على خريطة القصة وعناصرها: الشخصيات – المكان – الزمان – الأحداث – المشكلة – الحل.
استخلاص القيم والدروس المستفادة من القصة مثل: التعاون، الصداقة، ومساعدة الآخرين.
تمارين عملية: تحويل الجمل من المفرد إلى المثنى والجمع، وتطبيق القواعد على أمثلة من نصوص الكتاب .
تطوير مهارات التحدث والكتابة من خلال أنشطة مشوقة مرتبطة بالقصة في كتاب القراءة، مع التركيز على تحويل الجمل بين المفرد والمثنى والجمع لتعزيز فهم الظواهر النحوية.

This week, our learners learned about demonstrative words: هذا (this – masculine) and هذه (this – feminine) in Arabic and practiced using these words in short, simple sentences.
Next week, learners will be learning about Healthy food in Arabic.
