Welcome back, Year 7! You have made an excellent start to your Secondary journey. It has been wonderful to see you settling into your new routines, building friendships, and showing enthusiasm in your lessons. Keep asking questions, supporting each other, and embracing all the opportunities that come your way.
Introducing our tutor groups
Our Secondary language programme at Nadeen School is designed to equip our learners with valuable skills for a globalised world. Learners continue their core studies in Arabic (A or B) and French, working towards proficiency. To diversify and consolidate their skillset, Year 8 linguists continue their exciting Spanish lessons. Furthermore, we are pioneering a new opportunity this year by offering Mandarin Chinese in Year 7, a language of immense global importance. This comprehensive suite of languages ensures our students are prepared for future academic and professional pursuits anywhere in the world. More updates are coming in the next few weeks!
The Bahraini Social Studies & Citizenship curriculum for Key Stage 3 is designed to foster students' understanding of Bahrain's history, culture, governance, and role in the global community. It emphasises civic responsibility, national identity, and ethical values, aligning with the MoE's standards and the broader goals of the Bahrain Education Vision.
Our Islamic Studies curriculum for Key Stage 3 is designed to nurture students’ understanding of Islamic beliefs, practices, history, and ethics in an engaging and age-appropriate manner. The subject aims to develop critical thinking, moral reasoning, and a strong connection to Islamic values while aligning with broader educational goals such as spiritual, moral, social, and cultural (SMSC) development.
Lessons will focus on explanation and reflection on selected Surahs and emphasis on sincerity, honesty, and moderation in spending
We will be holding an in-person Meet the Tutor event for Years 7–11 on Wednesday 3rd September, from 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm. The meetings will take place in your child's form room. Learners will be dismissed at 12:00 pm on this day. This event provides a valuable opportunity to meet your child’s form tutor, in order to discuss how they have settled into the year, and consider targets and areas for development for the year ahead. We encourage parents and learners to attend in order to make the most of this opportunity.
Please note, provision will be available for any learner who is unable to be collected at 12:00 pm which will run until 14:45 pm.
You can book an Appointment with your child's tutor through SchoolCloud (the same system used for ECA sign-up). Your login details will be shared with you shortly within a separate email.
We look forward to welcoming you all.
We are pleased to inform you that our school will be launching a new canteen service in partnership with our external provider, Eastern Bakery, starting on Sunday 7th September 2025. This service will offer our learners convenient and nutritious food options throughout the school day.
Rollout Schedule
To ensure a smooth introduction, the service will be phased in as follows:
Week 1 (Starting 7th September): Secondary – Years 7, 10 and 11
Week 2: All Secondary Year groups
As we learn from our experience with secondary, learners', we will begin to plan how our canteen service can be accessed by our younger learners. Further communication will follow.
Operating Hours
Canteen opening hours: 8:00am – 2:00pm
Hot meals: Served during the main lunch break
Please see the email sent to all parents for further information
We kindly remind all parents that learners must attend school each day in their formal Nadeen uniform. On PE days, learners should bring their full PE kit with them and change into it before their lesson, and then back into their school uniform afterwards.
This approach helps maintain high standards of presentation throughout the school day, ensures consistency across the Secondary phase, and reinforces the importance of learners taking responsibility for their appearance and belongings.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Please note that Nadeen School will be closed next Thursday in observance of the public holiday for the Prophet’s Birthday.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
