English

We have continued with the Iron Man this week. We have read the first two chapters focusing on descriptive language and comprehension of the text. We wrote character descriptions of Iron Man with the focus of using appropriate adjectives and imaginative language.

Maths

This week in Year 3, we explored numbers up to 1,000 through games and activities. Learners practised representing numbers in different ways and partitioning them into hundreds, tens and ones, including flexible partitioning. We also strengthened our mental maths by practising counting on.

Science

We are continuing to familiarise ourselves with the scientific names of bones. We have two life sized skeletons, which are a great aid for our Year 3 learners to understand the location and size of adult bones. We started to learn about the function of different bones and the important jobs they do.

Spellings

Our spelling focus next week is spelling words that have the long 'ai' sound.

Our spelling words are:

Let Us Know If Your Child Is Absent – New Email!

We are pleased to inform you that a dedicated email address has now been created for reporting learner absences. Please use attendance@nadeenschool.com to notify the school if your child will be absent on the day. All of the absence correspondence should as always go through the form tutor. This will help us ensure accurate attendance records and streamline communication. Thank you for your cooperation.

Canteen Acess for Primary Learners

Please note that our canteen is available only from Year 4 onwards.

Primary learners in Year 4 and Year 6 will be able to start using the canteen after the half term.

All canteen cards that have been ordered for Primary learners will be held securely by the school all the time.

For parents who ordered the cards for Early Years up to Year 3, refunds will be processed though the app, and a notification will be sent to you account in the app.

SMS TEST

Dear Parents,

As part of our regular health and safety procedures and our ongoing commitment to maintaining accurate records, we will be sending a test SMS to all parents this Sunday at 10:00 AM.

This is a routine check to ensure our contact information is up to date and that we can reach all families promptly in the event of an emergency or important communication.

No action is required unless you do not receive the SMS. If that is the case, please contact us at Admissions@nadeenschool.com to update your details.

NOTE: SMSs will be sent to local numbers only; if you do not have one, please arrange to obtain a local number as we require 2 local contact numbers for each learner and a local emergency number different from the parents' numbers (This will be used in case of emergency only -not included in SMSs)
