English

This week in English, we immersed ourselves in the theme of space. Learners explored the shared area filled with items, including a rocket, moon rocks, an oxygen tank and a mysterious piece of metal – to make predictions about what our book might be about. We also created a poem about the moon, using a key feature we have been practising: the expanded noun phrase.

Maths

This week in maths, we deepened our understanding of place value. Learners began with a fun matching card activity to support their recognition of Roman numerals. They then used counters on a place value grid to represent numbers up to 100,000. Learners also practised identifying the value of individual digits in numbers up to 100,000, applying and strengthening their place value knowledge.

Science

This week in science, we began our learning journey into Earth and Space by creating a KWL grid to capture what learners already know and what they want to find out during this unit. Using fact files and a variety of books, learners then researched a planet in our solar system and created an informative poster. They then presented these posters to the class, sharing the knowledge they had gained.

ما تم دراسته هذا الأسبوع :

قام الطلاب هذا الأسبوع بحل أنشطة متنوعة في مهارات اللغة العربية، شملت مراجعة بعض الظواهر النحوية والإملائية، والتركيز على فهم النصوص المقروءة من خلال استخراج الأفكار والتفاصيل الواردة فيها بمساعدة المعلمة .

ما سيتم دراسته الأسبوع القادم :

درس جديد بعنوان "ندى تزور عمها" من كتاب القراءة صــ 25، حيث سيتعرف الطلاب من خلاله على عناصر كتابة الرسالة، وكيفية تنظيم الأفكار وعرضها بأسلوب واضح ومرتب. وسيتخلل الدرس أنشطة تطبيقية ممتعة تعزز مهارات التواصل الكتابي لدى الطلاب وتربط ما يتعلمونه بحياتهم اليومية.

الإملاء الكتابي يوم الإثنين 15/9/2025م في الجملة الآتية:

( وقَدْ اسْتَمْتَعْتُ بالرِّحْلَةِ؛ لأنَّ الطَّائِرَةَ مُجَهَّزَةٌ بِكُلِّ وسائِلِ الرَّاحَةِ والتَّرْفيهِ.)

Arabic B

This week, our learners learnt to write their names in Arabic. They also drew their pictures and designed their names in their notebooks.

Next week, we will focus on greetings and self-introduction. The learners will be encouraged to practise their Arabic speaking skills through simple dialogues with their classmates

Beach Clean up

Join Us for Beach Clean-Up Day!

Lost and Found

Starting from Sunday, 14th September, all items of property left at the end of the last academic year will be displayed on tables near the learner entrance. If you are missing any items such as uniform, water bottles, pencil cases or headphones, please take the opportunity to check.

The stand will be available for collection between 7.30am and 8.00am and again after 2.00pm.

Private Driver Information for School Pickup

To support the organisation of the safe collection of your child at the end of the school day please can you complete the attached Google Form which can be accessed here.

Please complete the form by 12 noon on Sunday 14th September.

For any temporary change to these arrangements, you must email your child’s Class Teacher and e.duffy@nadeenschool.com

A new form should also be completed if your child begins using a private driver service or if there is any permanent change to the details you have previously provided.
