Our learners have been exploring the phonemes /ck/, /e/, /u/ and /r/. They enjoyed forming these letters using different media and matching pictures and objects that begin with these sounds. The learners also practised blending and segmenting to create and read simple CVC words.
This week the children have been working hard to continue comparing the weight of different classroom objects.
This week the learners explored the swirl pattern of a snail and created their own artwork inspired by the French artist Henri Matisse.
This week, we had a very special visit from Ms Shanee. She sat with us and read a story about how we are all part of the wolfpack, and what the wolf represents; wonder, observe, learn, and flourish. The children listened intently and were full of thoughtful questions!

Celebrating Our Community Together We are so thankful to the wonderful group of parents already helping us plan for our Diwali celebration on October 9th. From October 5th–9th, parents who observe Diwali are warmly invited to visit their child’s class to share a story, lead a craft, or introduce another cultural activity. If you would like to take part, please reach out directly to your child’s class teacher. We also warmly welcome parents who would like to share traditions from any cultural or national celebration that is special to your family. Part of what makes Nadeen School so unique is our wonderfully international community—over 70 nationalities, each with its own traditions, stories, and celebrations. Together, we create joyful experiences that help our children learn, connect, and appreciate the richness of our diverse world.
October: Cancer Awareness Month 🎗️
During the entire month of October, our school is dedicated to Cancer Awareness. This is a time to show support, raise awareness, and stand in solidarity with those affected by cancer.
We warmly invite all parents and learners to take part in this meaningful initiative by:
Writing a message of hope, strength, or remembrance
Drawing a picture that reflects cancer awareness – whether it's a ribbon, a heart, or a tribute to someone special
Your contributions will be displayed around the school as a symbol of our community’s compassion and support.
Let’s come together to honor the fighters, celebrate the survivors, and remember the loved ones we’ve lost.
Together, we are stronger.
We are pleased to inform you that a dedicated email address has now been created for reporting learner absences. Please use attendance@nadeenschool.com to notify the school if your child will be absent on the day. All of the absence correspondence should as always go through the form tutor. This will help us ensure accurate attendance records and streamline communication. Thank you for your cooperation.
Please note that our canteen is available only from Year 4 onwards.
Primary learners in Year 4 and Year 6 will be able to start using the canteen after the half term.
All canteen cards that have been ordered for Primary learners will be held securely by the school all the time.
For parents who ordered the cards for Early Years up to Year 3, refunds will be processed though the app, and a notification will be sent to you account in the app.
