This week, learners have been applying the technical vocabulary they have explored in class to create their own sentences about polar bears. They also began conducting independent research using their Chromebooks to gather key facts for their upcoming information report on polar bears. The class has shown great curiosity and developing confidence in using precise, factual language to inform their readers.

This week we are looking at more spellings from the Year 3 and 4 Statutory Spelling list. Please help the learners practise these at home.

This week, the learners have been advancing their subtraction skills, concentrating on performing multiple exchanges. They have been tackling subtraction problems and have acquired new vocabulary related to subtraction concepts.
The learners have also been looking at estimating answers using their prior knowledge of rounding from last term.
Science
Science
This week in Science, Year 4 have been deepening their understanding of changing states of matter. The children explored how solids, liquids, and gases can change from one state to another, learning key processes such as melting, freezing, evaporation, condensation, and boiling.
To show what they’ve learned, learners created bright and informative posters to display on our Science boards, helping to explain each process in their own words.
Later in the week, the class began learning about scientific equipment, including stopwatches and thermometers. Next week, they’ll have the chance to practise using these tools as they prepare for their very own experiment.
Enquiry Learning
This week in our Stone Age topic, the learners continued exploring how early humans expressed themselves through art. Building on last week’s cave paintings, they learned about the meanings behind Stone Age artwork and what it reveals about early life. The class enjoyed creating new pieces using natural tones and textures to depict animals and daily scenes, showing great creativity and curiosity throughout.

This week, learners explored the topic “My Five Senses.” They learned how we use our eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and hands to experience and understand the world around us through fun and interactive activities.
Next week, our learners will explore the topic “My Clothes” in Arabic. They will learn the names of different clothes, such as shirt, trousers, dress, hat, and practise using simple sentences to describe what they wear,
Project information: Learners are required to work on their project “My Journey to Discover the World Around Me”, an interactive project designed to enhance Arabic language skills in a fun and creative way. سيشارك طلابنا في جلسة قراءة وأنشطة ممتعة لتعزيز القراءة والإبداع والقيم الإيجابية مثل اللطف والتعاون. يرجى إحضار دمية أو لعبة مفضلة، ويمكن إحضار قصة قصيرة للمشاركة. We are delighted to share our Home Learning Choice Board for this half term. This is an optional activity board for your child to complete. There are nine practical and engaging activities to choose from, please select up to three.
You can share your child’s completed activities with your class teacher, they will provide brief feedback to your child in class time.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to speak to your class teacher or Year Leader.

A very good week for our Year 4 learners who played a range of games to state which school subjects they liked and which they didn't. Our focus was on oral practice and it's great to see how confidence is growing when it comes to speaking French in front of the class.
Next week, we will be doing some listening activities and answering questions on what we have heard.

Nadeen School Annual Festive Fair
We are delighted to let you know that we are hosting this event again on Friday November 28th from 11am-4pm at Dilmunia, the home of our brand new, state-of-the-art campus.
On this day children, parents, staff and friends will come to our fair for a fun family day. We have games and prizes for the children, independent vendors offering various products for sale, food stalls, and a raffle. Last year we had over 2000 visitors to our Fair and it was an incredibly well-attended, well-enjoyed event; we are expecting even more visitors this year!
One of our largest fundraisers during the year is our Festive Fair Raffle. If you or your company could donate a raffle prize, such as a voucher, gift, gift certificate or hamper, it would be greatly appreciated by Nadeen School children, parents and staff.
