I am so proud of how well the learners have been practising their phonics. They are showing great progress in their letter formation and are becoming more confident in applying their sounds when reading and writing.
It has been wonderful to see everyone actively engaging in our online phonics lessons with such enthusiasm and focus.
Well done everyone, keep up the fantastic work!
This week we have been working on tricky mathematical concepts; doubles, even and odd, and making 10!
The learners have been brilliant at using the things they have in their homes to engage in our online lessons.
Well done FS2!
This week, our learners have been exploring the traditional tale, 'The Enormous Turnip'. We have introduced the vocabulary, 'nurture', 'swell', 'jumbo', 'extract' and 'collaborate'. Each day our learners tackled a new, 'I wonder..' question. They didn't fail to deliver imagination, creativity, innovation and some marvellous handwriting too!! Well done FS2.
This week, we have been exploring creativity inspired by The Enormous Turnip story. The children have been using a wide range of materials, toys, and natural loose parts to build, paint, and construct farms, turnips, cats, cows, and other farm animals.
It has been lovely to see all the different kinds of artwork shared on Tapestry. There’s such wonderful creativity on display. Well done, FS2.
We are grateful for the strong partnership we share with our parents. During periods of online learning, your support at home plays a role in helping your child continue to succeed.
Maintaining a simple daily routine and encouraging your child's efforts during lessons can make a big difference. Where possible, setting up a consistent learning space for your child to join each lesson can also help them stay engaged and ready to learn. Being prepared with essential resources; paper, pencil/pens and ensuring your child has a charged device sets them with readiness for every lesson. Scheduling the release of planning the night before which is a part of our flexible approach and gives you time to prepare any additional resources that might be needed the next day.
Brain breaks are equally important; a short physical activity between online lessons can help children refresh and refocus. Ensure that children get a chance to step away from screens and engage in some of our Planned Activities on Tapestry. These rehearse their skills and come back to an activity, as they would in a classroom.
Most importantly, celebrate your child’s effort and progress. Your encouragement helps build their confidence and motivation to learn. If you see a comment on your child's work, share this with them as a moment of celebration together. Together, we will continue to support your children and ensure they have the tools to succeed during this period of online learning.
At Nadeen, we value strong partnerships with our families and your feedback plays an important role in our continuous improvement journey.
Our Parent Happiness & Feedback Survey has been designed to help us better understand your child’s experience across wellbeing, learning, communication and community.

We are pleased to share the launch of The Arabic Stories Digital Library, an innovative initiative from our Arabic Department designed to strengthen our culture of reading and academic excellence.
The platform provides a carefully curated collection of Arabic stories tailored to learners’ varying interests and proficiency levels. Learners are encouraged to read at least one story per week and complete a structured reflection task to deepen comprehension, enhance written expression, and develop critical thinking skills.
The library will continue to expand through regular updates, ensuring fresh and engaging content. This initiative supports independent learning, advances language development, and reinforces cultural identity — all aligned with our strategic vision and High Performance Learning framework.
Further details will be shared by Ms. Zenab after the half-term break.
We are pleased to inform you that a dedicated email address has now been created for reporting learner absences. Please use attendance@nadeenschool.com to notify the school if your child will be absent on the day. All of the absence correspondence should as always go through the form tutor. This will help us ensure accurate attendance records and streamline communication. Thank you for your cooperation.
