This week the 6th graders broke into their drone project teams. They will work with these teams for the next 4 weeks to produce a costumed and choreographed drone performance! They first checked out and made minor adjustments to the rubric designed by the 5th grade GATE student who are also studying drones right now but haven't missed classes due to holidays. Check out the student-designed rubric here.
The 6th graders got a nice surprise after lunch when my husband dropped off some donuts to thank them for helping The Boise Watershed workshop their new climate lesson last week!
The teams then got to work designing story lines, choosing music, and crafting aerodynamic drone costumes. The stories range from a quirky dynamite music video to an homage to the movie Up to a SpongeBob Squarepants scene to a secret agent mission. I can't wait to see them all come together!
I lost my phone about 20 times today, so sorry for the lack of photos!
