This week, the 5th graders took at Myers-Briggs inspired personality test on 16personalities.com. They also practiced actively reading an article comparing and contrasting Introverts and Extroverts. They summarized the article on whiteboards with their table group and discussed the following questions:
Do you get energy more from alone time or from social time?
What Introvert traits do you relate to?
What Extrovert traits do you relate to?
Do you agree with your personality test results for Extrovert versus Introvert?
The students presented their findings to their classmates. Next week, the 5th graders will start their abstract art personality profiles by creating art in the style of Kandinsky that represents whether they are an introvert, extrovert, or ambivert.
As we begin our school year and face new challenges, we are seeking new ways to enrich your child's education. A big purchase, I have my eye on is a set of classroom cameras for the 3rd grade photography unit and to help other students with self-expression and documenting the progress of their project work.
If you would like to help fund our tech needs, supplies for students, brain puzzles, etc, please click on the link below to donate to my Boise Foundation Account. I upgraded and added a ton of classroom supplies this summer with donations from last year, so thank you so much for those donations! [LOWELL/GATE/GABRIELLI,AUDREY]
