Today the 2nd graders worked on defining success criteria for their agamograph art projects by evaluating the positives and things that should be changed on an agamograph made by a student last year. We also developed a how-to steps list for the project. These two pieces of frontloading allowed students to work independently with little teacher intervention, which helps me to more effectively help students who really need me and gives the students greater agency in their work.
I will be out with a substitute teacher next week on the 10th, and since the 17th is a half-day, there will not be GATE on that day. I didn't realize this until after the 2nd graders left today! Otherwise, I would have given them a more exuberant send off since I won't see them until after Spring Break on March 31st.
We're all set on building materials and snacks for the time being! Thank you so much for all of the generous donations!
As we begin our school year and face new challenges, we are seeking new ways to enrich your child's education both in person and virtually. Our current wish list includes a set of classroom cameras (~$100 ea) and Rubiks Cubes ($12)! Please click on the link below to donate to my Boise Foundation Account. [LOWELL/GATE/GABRIELLI,AUDREY]
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THOSE WHO ALREADY DONATED!
IT WILL BE PUT TO GOOD USE RIGHT AWAY!
(I'll start posting as soon as I have confirmed which students from each school are on the No Photo List. Thanks for your patience!)
