We're back, baby! Thank you for your understanding as I took a hiatus from posting weekly updates during the busiest of the GATE testing referral season.
The 4th graders have been working hard on their hero's journey unit the last couple months. They learned about the hero's journey story structure, theatrical masks, and character archetypes. Over the last couple weeks, groups and individuals have been performing their hero's journey tales for the class as well as practicing giving productive, specific feedback, and reflecting on their own experience on their Book Creator portfolios.

As we begin our school year and face new challenges, we are seeking new ways to enrich your child's education. A big purchase, I have my eye on is a set of classroom cameras for the 3rd grade photography unit and to help other students with self-expression and documenting the progress of their project work.
