This week, our 6th graders started their introductory lessons where they grappled with the question "What is wisdom?" They activated their prior knowledge, they examined famous quotes about wisdom, and they discussed their revelations with their community members. We'll continue integrating our study of wisdom for the next few weeks in depth and throughout the rest of the year.
The 6th graders also experimented more with columns, building off their paper tower challenge from last week. They tested designs of circular, square, and triangular columns to see which could hold the most weight and what factors go into engineering a successful design and reliable testing methods.
As there is no school next Monday, we will see the 6th graders in two weeks!

As we begin our school year and face new challenges, we are seeking new ways to enrich your child's education both in person and virtually. Our current wish list includes a set of classroom cameras, a Tello drone kit, Rubiks Cubes, graphic novels, and more enriching art and tech! (I'll start posting as soon as I have confirmed which students from each school are on the No Photo List. Thanks for your patience!)
