This week, the 3rd graders either finished their Mars habitation designs and self-assessments of their work on their Book Creator portfolio orthey practiced giving productive feedback to their peers via Book Creator comments. Productive feedback is specific, connects to the project success criteria, and sandwiches critical observations with positive observations. If we don't know what to say, we can always just ask a question.
Students spent the afternoon tying up some other lose ends since the bulk of our class (Lowell, Longfellow, and Highlands) will be missing most or all of class next week. Some students extended their Mars design work to other projects such as a rover design, some worked on finishing pizza stuffies that they are making for the 1st grade students, and some finished up their design and feedback work.
The last class will be May 18th.
Our current wish list includes a set of classroom cameras (~$100 ea), craft supplies of all sorts, and Rubik's Cubes ($12)! Please click on the link below to donate to my Boise Foundation Account. [LOWELL/GATE/GABRIELLI,AUDREY]
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THOSE WHO ALREADY DONATED!
IT WILL BE PUT TO GOOD USE RIGHT AWAY!
(I'll start posting as soon as I have confirmed which students from each school are on the No Photo List. Thanks for your patience!)
