Today the 5th graders were finally able to debut their drone films. After each film, the students practiced giving polite, specific, and success-criteria-oriented feedback to their peers through Book Creator. After premiering the films, the students self-assessed their work against the success criteria and answered reflection questions about their experience on their portfolios. We don't have report cards in GATE, so this is how we keep the conversation open and deepen learning.

Next week, we will be starting a genius-hour-esque final mini unit where students will be able to pursue a passion project to finish the year, all while connecting it to the theme of our year, Relationships.
