This group of 2nd graders has come SO FAR this year! They are my #1 class at at working self-sufficiently on big, challenging work with little teacher intervention, which is wildly impressive for a class of 26 second graders! Today I got to watch them diligently work on either finishing their agamograph art pieces or starting a mini Artemis Missions research project. The students who were able to work on research today will be teaching our Introduction to the Artemis Missions lesson next week!
Believe it or not, we only have FIVE GATE DAYS LEFT for 2nd grade this year with our last class being on May 12th. 😢 These final classes, we will be studying the NASA Artemis Missions and the Moon.
Adults who would be willing to video chat or stop by the 1st grade class and share about their career, especially if it is a STEM career! If you are willing to hold a Q and A with the students, I can design classwork to accompany your job. Or, if you would like to teach the students something, that's great too! Last year, we had fun learning about architecture, wildlife biology, computer coding, and several other careers. I can't wait to see what we can put together for the students this year!
