Today the 2nd graders set up their 7 Natural Wonders of the World Museum. Each student was challenged to remember one fact about each Wonder. They also spent time giving affirmation for projects and research, and then added photos of their work to their Book Creator Portfolios. After adding photos to their portfolios, the students started working on the first step of the upcoming Wonders of the World agamograph art pieces. We went over some drawing and coloring strategies to help work look professional, and I must say, they are coming along great!
Next week, we will introduce the Modern Wonders of the World and start another mini research+museum project before finishing the unit with the agamograph art piece.
30+ 13+ cardboard paper towel rolls
10+ 2+ cereal boxes
big bags of pretzels (for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd grade snacks)
big boxes of chewy granola bars (for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd grade snacks)
Thank you so much for the donations we have already received!! For reference, once class typically eats half a bag of pretzels per GATE day. The more students bring their own snack to class, the less need to be provided through donation. Thanks!
