Today the 4th graders did an awesome job learning to program and fly their drones. In the afternoon, they got to get started designing and testing costume designs in flight using the iterative design process, only making incremental changes to their designs and flight patterns in order to most efficiently recognize changes that are needed. Next week, they will continue designing and testing costumes and adding their work and reflections to their portfolios!
It would be great to have a few families volunteer to provide a snack for our last day of GATE on May 15th. We have 26 students total, 1 gluten-free, 1 vegetarian, 1 dairy free, and 1 peanut allergy.
As we begin our school year and face new challenges, we are seeking new ways to enrich your child's education. A big purchase, I have my eye on is a set of classroom cameras for the 3rd grade photography unit and to help other students with self-expression and documenting the progress of their project work.
If you would like to help fund our tech needs, supplies for students, brain puzzles, etc, please click on the link below to donate to my Boise Foundation Account. I upgraded and added a ton of classroom supplies this summer with donations from last year, so thank you so much for those donations! [LOWELL/GATE/GABRIELLI,AUDREY]
