Almost all of the 3rd graders took part in a cow eye dissection today! I was very impressed how many of them chose to participate or watch the dissection. This group has come an awfully long way from they days where I had to have parent volunteers join the class each week to help keep the energy at bay. haha They were able to identify the eye anatomy they have been studying, and they did a fantastic job taking the dissection seriously. The quote that summarized the experience for most students was, "EW! That's so awesome!"
It would be great to have a few families volunteer to provide a snack for our last day of GATE on May 16th. We have 23 students total with no reported allergies.
As we begin our school year and face new challenges, we are seeking new ways to enrich your child's education. A big purchase, I have my eye on is a set of classroom cameras for the 3rd grade photography unit and to help other students with self-expression and documenting the progress of their project work.

I upgraded and added a ton of classroom supplies this summer with donations from last year, so thank you so much for those donations! [LOWELL/GATE/GABRIELLI,AUDREY]
