Pomona Sprout

In November, for the 2018 Cosplay Day, TGTSNBN would be returning to Untermeyer Park, where Rita Skeeter had debuted half a decade prior. After much deliberation, Irvin decided that the location of the event in a beautiful park, surrounded by plants, would be a perfect backdrop for Professor Sprout. (That, and a yellow color scheme worked great for Rita.) Professor Sprout does not have many defining characteristics, so Irvin had to get creative. The costume really came together through the hat with flowers on it (a gift from Deanna the Elder), and some leaves draped all over the costume. Beyond that, Irvin just put on every warm Hufflepuff-colored piece he owned, given the dire warnings about the cold weather.

It was simple, but very effective: Sprout looked right at home among all the trees and plants, and had a gaggle of Hufflepuff student to deliver Herbology lessons to. Naturally, Irvin brought fluffy pink earmuffs for the mandrake lessons, and borrowed gardening tools from friends to fake a green thumb. In one memorable shot, Sprout is about to launch a potted plant over a railing, in a recreation of her role in the Battle of Hogwarts.
