For a brief moment around 2012 to 2015, The Hunger Games appeared to be the fandom successor to Harry Potter, as everyone got together for the movie premieres and whatnot. Naturally, Irvin partook in the fun, dressing up for the first three movie releases and several other occasions, and getting the best sunburn of his life at the 2012 Mermaid Parade. Unfortunately, the fandom fizzled out very quickly, due to the appalling nature of the last book in the series, and the rushed timeline of the releases meaning it was all over too quickly. But it was fun while it lasted!
