Irvin knew he had to create something spectacular for the Masquerade Ball at MISTI-Con 2013, so he went for a glamorous Narcissa. Showing off her House colors, Narcissa had a glimmering green dress with a large slit up the front (for comfort while dancing), and a bedazzled green mask on account of the Masquerade Ball. The outfit was adorned with all manner of snake-like jewelry, including rings and necklaces. And like her sister, Narcissa had quite large boobs. Narcissa danced the night away like this, and only after the ball was done did Irvin allow his friends to pop the balloons.
Years later, Irvin was publishing his second book Malfoy and celebrating the publication with a weekend-long celebration he called MalfoyCon. Naturally, he spent the weekend in Malfoy regalia, including a wholly new Narcissa Malfoy cosplay. He'd procured a corset some years ago, a dark green one with a ruff over one shoulder. On a separate occasion, he'd found dark green snakeskin-patterned boots at a thrift store. He combined those with a long black skirt, long blonde wig, and lots and lots of snake-themed jewelry.
In this garb, Irvin delivered a presentation about "Malfoy the Marauder," and generally served as emcee of the event. One of the other panelists came as Snape, so they recreated the Unreakable Vow (left) - Irvin made sure not to make any promises at the moment! Another panelist was Voldemort, and the two did their best to recreate their interaction at the Battle of Hogwarts.
Irvin stayed on the Malfoy beat the following month at CONjuration 2025, since he did have a book to promote and all. The first day, he reprised the Narcissa outfit with the corset for the whole day. It served as an effective way to grab people's attention and put them in mind of Malfoys.
The best interaction was when Irvin as Narcissa was running late to his own presentation, and so was running through the convention hall... as best as one can run in heels and a corset. Suddenly he hears his name being called out - it was the bookseller who'd be handling Malfoy, who'd somehow recognized Irvin from a convention four years earlier, in Narcissa Malfoy regalia. And Irvin had run (as best he could) to the panel, he asked the bookseller, who'd told him, "You have a very distinct energy!"
The following day, for the Yule Ball in the evening, Irvin brought forth another new Narcissa cosplay. He'd been at a thrift store working on another costume a few weeks before MalfoyCon, when he stumbled upon the most perfect thing to ever exist: a black dress with sequined peacocks and dark green fringe, that fit him perfectly! He took it as a cosmic sign that the universe wanted MalfoyCon to succeed!
Since Irvin had wanted a Malfoy-themed costume for the ball, and since he certainly would not be at a six-hour dance party in a corset, this was perfect! He tied Narcissa's long blond hair so it would stay out of the eyes, donned the dress, and danced the night away! The fringe made it extra fun to dance in, and Irvin swished his hips perhaps slightly more than even he ordinarily would.
The convention was absolute full of Dracos, so Narcissa got to be a proud mommy in photo with many cosplayers. Throughout the weekend, everyone kept asking where Irvin had gotten the boots or the dress or the snake necklace... Narcissa Malfoy proved to be a walking advertisement for the thirft stores of NYC!
