Hades

Irvin's twenty-third birthday was mythology-themed, so he dressed as Hades, the villain from his favorite Disney movie, Hercules. Nothing says "happy birthday" like the god of the Underworld! In keeping with the theme, the birthday cake was red and orange to evoke the flames of hell. At the party, Hades presided over representatives from eight different pantheons. He hosted Olympic Games, and even successfully decapitated Medusa in one of the tasks. There was some familial tension when Demeter showed up, leading to an awkward "Sorry I raped your daughter..." conversation.

Most of the costume was simple, with the only challenge coming from the blue flaming hair. For all Irvin's efforts, the wig refused to properly defy gravity. Other than that, the hardest part was taking off the makeup afterwards.

After all the effort of creating the costume, Irvin was just biding his time for an opportunity to wear it again. The opportunity presented itself at AwesomeCon 2016, where Irvin once again donned the makeup and blue hair (with a slight adjustment to the wig to make it stay up longer).
