Keith (Solve-It Squad)

Costume Debut: May 2018

The Tin Can Bros, an offshoot of Team StarKid, brought their Scooby-Doo parody The Solve-It Squad Off-Broadway for a few weeks in 2018. Naturally, whenever Team StarKid does things in NYC, it calls for cosplay. The first time Irvin saw the play (and loved it), he met all the actors afterwards, dressed as AVPM Ron Weasley. One of them, Gabe Greenspan, was new to the world of being affiliated with StarKid and having fans - he played Keith, the show's riff on Fred. Gabe told Irvin he couldn't wait to see who Irvin cosplayed the next time. So an idea began to foment...

The next time, Irvin came dressed as Keith, who was his favorite character in the show. It was a very easy costume - a jacket from a thrift store and a wig.

After the show, Gabe came up to Irvin and the other members of TGTSNBN. He said hi, and asked who Irvin was dressed as. Irvin just raised his eyebrows and gestured at him. In a second, it dawned on him... his face was transported with excitement as he said, "Are you... me?!"

Irvin's almost never seen someone so excited to be cosplayed (it was definitely the first time for Gabe). Gabe was delighted, he had to get a photo and everything. It definitely reaffirmed Irvin's choice to cosplay as much as possible, precisely for moments like this.
