Irvin's first proper non-Harry Potter con experience was AwesomeCon 2016. One of the selling points was the presence of voice actors from one of Irvin's favorite TV shows, Kim Possible. So at the last minute, Irvin pulled together a Ron Stoppable costume, complete with a Bueno Nacho Rufus. One of the delightful things about the convention was all the other Kim Possible fans in cosplay, allowing for group pictures - and of note, Irvin was the only one in Ron's day-to-day clothes instead of mission gear.

John DiMaggio (voice of Dr. Drakken) was doing a Q&A. When Irvin got up to ask a question, John DiMaggio exclaimed over how good Irvin's costume was, leading to the entire hall applauding the costume. Later, Irvin paid for photos with a celebrity for the first time ever, to get photos with John DiMaggio and Will Friedle (the actual voice of Ron). John DiMaggio was such a fan of Irvin's costume, he pulled Will Friedle over for a shot together... Best. Moment. Ever.

Two years later, an interactive exhibit all about spies called Spyscape opened in NYC. Irvin decided to go, and (naturally) brought back Ron for the occasion. It helps that this costume is one of the easiest to put together and wear in his repertoire. After having gone through the exhibit, Ron is definitely a much better spy now, a sidekick worthy of KP.

The following year, Irvin hosted a Kim Possible party to watch the live action movie. Naturally, it provided a perfect excuse to reprise the Ron costume, with his friend Angelica as Kim Possible. They made a perfect pair, watching all the KP movies (Bueno Nacho Rufus also watched the movies, he was very captivated!)

Irvin brought Ron to a Little Mermen concert in 2020, where Rufus ended up being the most popular person at the party and dancing with everyone! It's the first time Irvin wore sleeves to a Little Mermen concert, it felt very odd.
