Hades

When Irvin went to see The Lightning Thief in its closing weekend on Broadway, he needed a spectacular costume. After all, he now had a reputation - the vocal coach for the musical told him she's been guessing what he'd come as! One of Irvin's favorite additions to the musical for its Broadway incarnation was an utterly fabulous Hades in a lot of glittering gold, as played by Ryan Knowles. So he got a gold blazer (which came in handy right away for Irvin's work holiday party), and got all dressed up to see the penultimate performance.

He got a lot of admiring comments in the theater and on social media, and when he got tot he stage door afterwards, it was clear he'd made a good choice! Composer Rob Rokicki was thrilled, and Kristin Stokes exclaimed that Irvin had outdone himself again and that she needed a picture! It was a great final way to pay homage to a show that Irvin dearly loved.
