Going to the premiere of a Hunger Games movie is always a reason to dress up, so for Mockingjay Part 1 Irvin dressed up as Venia, the blue-haired member of Katniss's prep team. The costume was assembled from items Irvin already had lying around, and based on a bright blue jacket Irvin had that could factor into the costume on a bitterly cold November night. There was a surprising dearth of costumes at the movie theater (perhaps because of the bitter cold); the theater employees were so impressed that they gave Irvin free Mockingjay movie posters.
