Jean Grey

Irvin has a noble tradition of cosplaying characters from X-Men Evolution at AwesomeCon, so in 2019, he decided to tie into the upcoming Dark Phoenix movie and cosplay the Evolution version of Jean Grey.  (The hope was to cosplay it for the movie as well, before it came to light that the movie was terrible.)  The costume consisted of Irvin's trusty black bodysuit and X shoulder pads, a green triangle to differentiate Jean's bodysuit, Jean's signature gold bangles, and a black headband left over from Irvin's days playing Beater for the NY Badassilisks.

It was actually a very comfortable costume, with the one significant downside of no bathroom breaks, since the costume was safety-pinned within an inch of its life.  A bit of dehydration took care of that issue!

Luckily, there were lots of fellow X-Men all over AwesomeCon to take pictures with - Cyclops, Scarlet Witch, and Irvin's friend Angie as Storm.
