In May 2010, Irvin finally realized his dream of attending a Harry Potter conference. He went to Expeditious 2010, a very small conference in Ann Arbor, Michigan, hosted by The Fifth House. While there, he finally put his Hufflepuff side into his cosplay and dressed as Cedric Diggory. He dressed as Cedric in student robes during the day, and then changed into Cedric at the Yule Ball. He even had "Diggory" written on his back (which made telling confused people whom he was supposed to be much easier). He saw quite a few great cosplays there, and met many amazing people. It was probably one of the best weekends of his life, and he can't wait to go to another con. He barely slept all weekend, pulling an all-nighter the final night.

In June 2010, Irvin threw a big party called Hogwarts '80s Prom, which he attended in lieu of his actual high school prom. He reprised his Cedric outfit (since Cedric was at Hogwarts towards the end of the 1980s). Since he was the host of the party, he didn't win the McClaggens contest for the first time. However, he did perform with the Dancing Death Eaters as Cedric, which was a tad bizarre.

Cedric became Irvin's go-to outfit for parties. He reprised the outfit again almost a year later at Aeternitas 2011. On Saturday of the con, he dressed as student-Cedric during the morning, as he attended various presentations (including a Sex Ed class). After a few costume changes, Irvin then donned his dressy-Cedric for the Magic Is Forever Ball, and partied hard! He also got killed many times throughout the day.

In the ensuing years, Cedric was mostly put aside in favor of more ambitious cosplays. But seven years later, in April 2018, TGTSNBN went to a David Bowie exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum. Irvin knew little about David Bowie, so he returned to Cedric, figuring bright colors and face paint were apropos. This was a sportier Cedric, which much more Hufflepuff/Hogwarts merch available to him, and a wig for much floofier hair.

For Irvin's 30th birthday, he hosted a TriDecade Tournament - any of course, any HP-themed party centered around paralleling the Triwizard Tournament would see Irvin dressed in Cedric. Cedric was his fifth costume of the night, worn for the Third Task portion of the party. There was a fun new twist to the Cedric costume this time. In the preceding weeks, Puffs had auctioned off some of their original costumes from the off-Broadway production. Among Irvin's winnings was Cedric's Triwizard jersey, which he happily incorporated into the Cedric Diggory outfit. Thus attired, Irvin guided all the other partygoers through the maze of the Third Task.
