Regina George

Costume Debut: January 2016

Costume Reprised: April 2018, December 2019, December 2022

When Irvin's friends had a Mean Girls-themed party, it was a complete no-brainer who Irvin would go as: Regina George in the "Jingle Bell Rock" outfit!  Naturally, Irvin learned the Jingle Bell Rock dance, and performed it at the party (there were requests for an encore!).  As it happened, the dress was REALLY short, putting this outfit in contention for Irvin's Sluttiest Costume.

At the party, not only were there plenty of Janices and Damians to belittle, but Regina's mom was there!  It was a great bonding experience.  The partygoers recreated the iconic school gym scene where everyone felt personally victimized by Regina George.  There was also a real Burn Book, and Irvin wrote some mighty nasty things in it.

Irvin then had the outfit handy when he attended Mean Girls on Broadway - as a member of the press for Hypable, no less!  Since he was sitting in the orchestra, there was some confusion about whether he was actually in the show or not.  The cast certainly seemed amused by the getup, and the musical's official Twitter said, "OMG we love your outfit!"

In 2019, Irvin promised his Dancing Death Eaters a surprise for their last lesson before the Christmas holidays.  He decided to teach them all the Jingle Bell Rock dance, and seized the opportunity to reprise the Regina George outfit.  It was a rousing success, as seen below!

This now looks like it is becoming an annual holiday tradition for the Dancing Death Eaters, since Irvin did it again in the 2022 holiday season.

Costume Debut: May 2021

Honors: Best Costume at Dreamland Roller Disco

The Dreamland Roller Disco in Prospect Park had a Mean Girls vs Clueless themed night in 2021, which Irvin knew was a chance to dress up as Regina George.  The only issue was that the Jingle Bell Rock dress was a little too short to go comfortable roller skating in, so Irvin opted to do Regina George in her Halloween costume this time.

Getting everything tucked in properly was a challenge, but once the costume was donned, it was actually quite comfortable to skate in.  The biggest issue was actually keeping the bunny ears on, since it was a windy night!  Irvin also received a lot of catcalls and wolf whistles while walking down the street - it's nice to be appreciated!

Surprising no one, Irvin won the costume contest at the event.

Now Irvin is contemplating what other slutty holiday outfits he can cosplay as Regina George... perhaps Arbor Day will be next!
