Elle Woods

Irvin was prompted to come up with a costume for his friend's 2000s-themed birthday party, and put his head together with Maya to figure out a great costume for the pair of them.  Once they hit on the idea of Legally Blonde, the answer was so perfect there was clearly no other option!

Irvin had gotten his hands on an Elle Woods costume a few years ago, including a bag with Bruiser inside, so he just had to get the accessories to complete the look.  Some pink sunglasses and somewhat-treacherous pink heels were all it took!  Though the heels were not the only challenge: the costume had clearly not been intended for people who are 5'11" and the skirt was really short!  No wonder Elle got so many honks when waiting for a Lyft on the side of the road.

Maya was the Vivian to Irvin's Elle, and the personalities were a perfect fit - Maya perfectly captured the combination of friendship and exasperation that Elle inspires in her rival-turned-bestie.  They had a lot of fun doing a whole photo shoot together, and recreating the whole "What, like it's hard?" moment (video below).
