Ken

Irvin's friend Reenie naturally made her birthday party's theme "Beach" in honor of Barbie in 2023.  At first, that seemed like an occasion to wear Barbie again... except the prior year's birthday had seen the debut of Elle Woods, which is largely the same outfit, and Irvin was most certainly not an outfit repeater for the same event!  So a last-minute Ken costume had to be pulled together.

Since Irvin did not have an enormous fur coat handy, he went with Denim Ken.  All that was needed was to cut the sleeves off a denim jacket, and to get some white underwear and write "Ken" all over the waistband.  (This makes Ken the first outfit that Irvin crafted specific underwear for... but probably not the last.)

Irvin got lucky it was a warm November day!  At the party, he made sure to hit up as many iconic poses of Ken's as possible, including a series from "I'm Just Ken" (seen below).  All were agreed that the costume was "so cool."
