2013

The driving force behind costumes in 2013 was most certainly MISTI-Con 2013, a convention in New Hampshire in May that served as a sequel to Aeternitas 2011. These conventions are a showcase for the best cosplays, and Irvin had been planning for this ever since Aeternitas ended. He wore 11 different costumes over the course of 5 days (with an increasing number of costumes each day - 1, 2, 3, 4, and then one on the final morning). The only repeat from Aeternitas was Lockhart; the other ten were either new, or the best of the 2010 and 2011 costumes. There were three new outfits debuted at MISTI-Con - the portrait of Mrs. Black, Percy Weasley, and Narcissa Malfoy.

Two of the 2013 debuts have seen very regular use throughout the years. Albus Dumbledore is regularly revisited in conjunction with Irvin's academic fascination with the character, and subsequent publication of a book about him. The Portrait of Mrs. Black is the single costume most synonymous with Irvin in people's heads, as it (and the attendant shrieking) has become nothing short of iconic through regular appearances on the convention circuit.
