Olympe Maxime

Well over a year before MISTI-Con 2017, Irvin hit on an idea with his friend dyAnne: they could go to the ball as Madame Maxime and Hagrid. With their height difference and dyAnne's hair, it'd be perfect. Years earlier, Irvin had bought the dress, figuring it would come in handy one day for Madame Maxime. And now it would finally happen.

Of course, accessories are key. Irvin dug out the "cursed opal necklace" from when he cosplayed Draco Malfoy seven years earlier, since Madame Maxime wears lots of opals. The necklace was so heavy, it made it rather difficult to dance, especially given it was bouncing off of Maxime's ample bosom. True to the books, her black hair was pulled into an "elegant" bun at the nape of her neck. And to top off the look, a classy fur coat was put on top of the dress, since the French are chilled by the British climate.

The happy half-giant couple made sure to dance together adorably... but later in the evening, they staged a photo shoot of Madame Maxime storming off after Hagrid calls her a half-giant. She just has big bones!
