Bill Weasley

Costume Debut: September 2014

Costume Reprised: MISTI-Con 2015, October 2016

For The Group That Shall Not Be Named's Fall Cosplay Day 2014, Irvin wanted a costume that would be good for schlepping through a park in. With a multitude of ginger wigs and scars at his disposal, the choice was evident: Bill Weasley. Irvin had intended to work his way through the Weasley family, so this would be the 2014 entry. To become the epitome of cool, Irvin donned his Hogwarts tank top and tight black pants, figuring those "wouldn't look out of place at a rock concert." A fang earring, scars, and a red-haired ponytail completed the character, and proved to be one of the more lower-maintenance costumes.

At the Cosplay Day, there was a gaggle of Weasleys, leading to many family portraits, and a staged dinner that consisted of a lone cheese stick and five Weasleys fighting over it. For the first time, Irvin was on the Hogwartian side of the Battle of Hogwarts photos. There were some rumors going around that day that Bill Weasley had a thing for Triwizard champions, having had relations with almost all of them (Cedric died, preventing a complete set). Irvin did nothing to dispel those rumors, nor did the Harry present.

Irvin brought the costume to MISTI-Con 2015, where he taught The Art of Wizard Dance as Bill Weasley. (The song was "Oh, the Goblins and the Wizards Should Be Friends," so Bill was thematically appropriate.) Later in the day, Bill Weasley went to Tea with the Malfoys, where the hosts were wholly unhappy to see him.

Irvin reprised the costume to attend a promotional event for the Fantastic Beasts film in October 2016, just because the costume is comfortable and weather-appropriate.
