Малыш (Karlsson)

One of the most iconic cartoons in the Soviet Union is Малыш и Карлсон ("Junior and Karlsson"), based on Astrid Lingren's children's books Karlsson-on-the-Roof. The protagonist of the cartoon - the little boy who befriends Karlsson - wants nothing more than a puppy. Since 2018 is the year of the dog, and the New Year's festivities were all canine-themed, Irvin decided that his family's skit would be a parody of Малыш и Карлсон, with himself in the titular role. Most people thought he looked very convincingly like a sad little boy in desperate want of a puppy.
