Hairy Heart

For the Hogwarts Lip Sync Battle at MISTI-Con 2017, Irvin decided to go with a Beedle the Bard theme. The number he actually competed with was NSYNC's "Tearin' Up My Heart," telling the story of The Warlock's Hairy Heart. With Lorraine as the warlock and Nancy as the maiden, Irvin was the titular hairy heart. (Lyrics to the number are in the file below.) The costume was fairly simple (and very comfortable), with black yarn serving as the hair on the heart - Irvin received a design assist from his friend Deanna. Although Irvin & co. didn't win the Lip Sync Battle, the roar of laughter at Irvin's entrance was all the approbation needed!
