Tom Riddle

TGTSNBN's January 2017 meetup was a character discussion about Voldemort, so Irvin dressed up as Tom Riddle (because his Lord Voldemort cosplay is not suited for January).  From his later years at Hogwarts, Tom Riddle was already carrying the diary (from the Ginny Weasley cosplay) and the Peverell ring (from the Morfin Gaunt cosplay), so his soul was already in three parts.  A small snake was also in attendance, because what is Voldemort without a snake?  In that costume, Irvin led a rousing discussion about Voldemort, where the most contentious part was whether he has VoldyBits or not.

Irvin brought Tom Riddle to CONjuration 2023 because he was doing a panel about Voldemort (Too Horrible for Print) and had to dress for the occasion.  He initially showed up to the panel as Potter Puppet Pals Lord Voldemort and revealed Tom Riddle as the costume underneath.

The ball immediately followed the panel, so Irvin went to the ball as Tom Riddle.  Unfortunately, the outfit had way too many layers and was way too hot to dance in for five hours... Irvin made an honest attempt for the first hour, before the layers started coming off (as they did for many attendees' dapper outfits).  By the time Irvin met up with friends after the ball at 2am, there wasn't much left of Tom Riddle: a sweat-soaked shirt almost fully open, and the Slytherin tie tied around the black wig.  When asked whom he was meant to be cosplaying, Irvin said, "It was originally Tom Riddle... now it's Tom Riddle after he's made a few horcruxes and had a few rough nights."
