Glinda Upland

Irvin's friends organized a Broadway Night dance party, so Irvin knew he had to show up in style to support them!  One of the organizers, Lucas, was excited about pulling together an Elphaba costume.  Irvin offered the services of his multitude of Fiyeros, but quickly realized that what an Elphaba really needs is a Glinda.

As a base, Irvin ordered a Disney Cinderella dress (and luckily already had the wig, tiara, and jewelry).  But the dress was nowhere near fancy enough.  So Irvin went out and got some fabric and some trim, and set about zhuzzing up the skirt.  However, his sewing machine chose that day to act up; Irvin and his sewing machine had a big fight that day and nearly came to blows.

But in the end, it was done, and provided the fancy touch that Irvin felt was needed!  The costume proved a big hit at the event, especially when "Defying Gravity" came on and Glinda got to participate.  Irvin and Lucas got so many photos together as Elphaba and Glinda, but Irvin's favorite was the recreation of the iconic Broadway poster, seen below.
