Loretta Modern

For the January 2025 Disney DJ Night, Irvin chose to do a Disney Channel deep cut: Loretta Modern from the 2004 DCOM Pixel Perfect, the hologram singer who performs death defying stunts and makes characters and audiences ponder what's real.  Irvin long held the movie in very high esteem, considering it among the most underrated gems on Disney Channel - and if ever there was going to be an audience that appreciated the costume, it would be at Disney DJ Night!

Irvin chose to go with the costume she wears in her debut public performance, "Nothing's Wrong With Me."  White pants, a white top with spaghetti straps and a bare midriff (Irvin had to manually make the little V), and the signature blond locks.

Loretta met with a somewhat muted reception - even among the hardcore Disney fans, she's obscure, and a few people thought Irvin had just done a mediocre Lizzie McGuire or Hannah Montana.  But the few folks who got it, and appreciated Pixel Perfect, were really into it!

Irvin didn't have a chance to get up on stage and strut his stuff - ironic, given Loretta's storyline! - but did make sure to get pictures of all of her iconic dance poses.  He'd learned some of the dance moves, but couldn't quite do the zillion flips at the end, so maybe it's for the best!  He did do a short clip at home performing the song - the video's a work in progress!
