Hallyu often called the Korean Wave, is a cultural phenomenon established in East Asia during the mid-2000s and has since extended its influence globally. The Korean Wave represents the widespread appeal of Korean pop culture, encompassing music, film, television dramas, fashion, games, and beauty trends. In the 1990s, the South Korean government began a strategic shift by utilizing soft power to gain positive economic impacts. In a way, it is to promote South Korean and Korean culture. South Korea has gained international tourism through the attractiveness of K-drama and K-pop music videos. Soft power can be attributed to the Korean wave. This paper explores factors that have propelled the contemporary popularity of the Korean Wave, encompassing K-pop, Koran film, K-drama, and K-beauty. Worldwide famous K-pop artists Psy and BTS, the award-winning movie Parasite and Netflix drama Squid Games, and Korean skincare are all examples included in this research as part of the Korean wave. Furthermore, this research provided this phenomenon's historical context and significance.
The concept of creativity has come a long way. The Old Greeks would call those creative forces muses, other religions referred to them as God. Today people still mostly treat creativity as an aha moment outside the area of influence. However, just by looking at the creative process one can tell, that creativity and creative work is more than just that one "Aha-Moment" (insight). It is clear that generating ideas demands planning and preparation, identifying something of interest like a problem, an opportunity or a challenge, doing research. This then leads to thinking of a solution, allowing time to incubate and iterations before arriving at something “complete.” Students learn that hard work is what makes their ideas come to life and sticktuiveness is what helps them get better.
