Hello, My name is Bryson Ohtani Quartero. I moved around the island a little when I was younger, but I spent most of my life growing up in Mililani. I've lived on Oahu for my entire life and I attended Mililani High School. I graduated from there in 2020 during the COVID lockdowns. I attended Leeward Community College and graduated from there in 2022 before transferring to UH West O‘ahu to continue working towards my bachelor's degree. If I were an artist's tool, I would be a camera. I think in the literal sense, I've really liked videography and it is what I've been doing the most over the years. I think I also like being behind the camera rather than being in front of it. I like to think that the camera is able to capture things from different perspectives and I like being able to view the world through different lenses. I think it really opens up your perspective in a way, and it's something that I can relate to.

The concept of creativity has come a long way. The Old Greeks would call those creative forces muses, other religions referred to them as God. Today people still mostly treat creativity as an aha moment outside the area of influence. However, just by looking at the creative process one can tell, that creativity and creative work is more than just that one "Aha-Moment" (insight). It is clear that generating ideas demands planning and preparation, identifying something of interest like a problem, an opportunity or a challenge, doing research. This then leads to thinking of a solution, allowing time to incubate and iterations before arriving at something “complete.” Students learn that hard work is what makes their ideas come to life and sticktuiveness is what helps them get better.
