Hi! My name is Jacob Gonsalez. I grew up mostly in Ewa Beach, but I also grew up in Marlton, NJ & El Paso, TX as my father was in the United States Army, so I am an Army Brat. I attended James Campbell High School before attending the University of Hawaii - West Oahu and graduated with Cum Laude Honors. If I were an artist's tool I would be a camera because as an aspiring film director in order to capture the moments between actors the camera is the most important tool to do so. Cameras get to capture amazing interactions within the realm of movies and in everyday life, which is a beautiful thing. I would also love to be a camera because of how much easier it would be to capture everyday memories and I could store them in my head with ease.
The workplace is a world that everyone interacts with on a daily basis, whether it be at school, in the office, or on a movie set, it is something that people cannot escape from. Different emotions can arise in these close proximity situations from anger, to happiness, to even diligence depending on the attitudes of everyone in the setting. Communication, empathy, trust, and conflict resolution are all important key factors when looking at the way a workplace can function productively and in an efficient manner because when all these things are considered, then everyone and everything succeeds like they are supposed to. As an inevitable place to be in, individuals need to work together in order to form one cohesive environment that they and their fellow employees and bosses can be comfortable working in.
The concept of creativity has come a long way. The Old Greeks would call those creative forces muses, other religions referred to them as God. Today people still mostly treat creativity as an aha moment outside the area of influence. However, just by looking at the creative process one can tell, that creativity and creative work is more than just that one "Aha-Moment" (insight). It is clear that generating ideas demands planning and preparation, identifying something of interest like a problem, an opportunity or a challenge, doing research. This then leads to thinking of a solution, allowing time to incubate and iterations before arriving at something “complete.” Students learn that hard work is what makes their ideas come to life and sticktuiveness is what helps them get better.
